In a world where more is always better, mankind seems to have forgotten the beauty and wisdom that lies in moderation. If you tossed your coins six times and happen to be given Hexagram 15 by the I Ching, it means you need to incorporate balance and stability in your life.

However, before we dig into the actual interpretations of the broken and unbroken lines of Hexagram 15, let’s first touch up on some of its praiseworthy aspects and shortcomings.

Warnings:

Hexagram 15 Message

In the chase for accumulating the most you can, a lot of important factors of life can be damaged; love, relationships, and family being the first to be affected. You might often hear people say “Those who want to, will”. But, that still doesn’t change the fact that worldly obligations and materialistic aims can consume you and leave you with no energy to work on other areas of life.

Hexagram 15 is more of a wake-up call than anything else. It reminds you to either strike a balance or let go of the unnecessary burdens and responsibilities you may have voluntarily taken on.

Pride and ego can also play a substantial role in this. If chasing meaningless numbers and objectives makes you feel superior to others, it’s unlikely that you’ll ever realize the consequences of it. The faster you do realize, however, the quicker you’ll be able to turn your life around and transition towards stability.

Hexagram 15 Message In Love

Love is not supposed to be resisted or fought. If it comes your way (in the form of a person), welcome it with open arms. You might be confused and hesitant about your feelings for a long while; love sometimes makes no sense. But, that’s no reason to shut it out of your life.

Give love a sincere chance and watch how it makes your life magnificent over time.

Messages From The Lines Of Hexagram 15

Hexagram 15 Symbol

Line 1:

Don’t lose sight of the bigger picture while blowing your own trumpet. Your pride and ego has added a new unnecessary angle to the problem. Not only does this make solving harder but also disturbs allies and subordinates who may be working on the problem alongside you.

Don’t make the situation about yourself; it’s much bigger than your sentiment and pride. Choose to be humble or move out of the way and let others focus on what needs to be done.

Line 2:

Always keep your intentions pure. Don’t let greed and hunger corrupt your motives. When partners and allies put their faith in you, make sure it is justified. Don’t disappoint them by being ambiguous or having some other agenda in the back of your head. When you join hands for a mission/task, you have to share a common objective with everyone else on board. Let go of personal agendas for a while or at least have the courtesy to let others know about them beforehand.

Line 3:

The pursuit of being more than anyone else will likely lead you down a terrible road. The chase for superiority even when you’re aware of the fact that all will return to the same grave is outright foolish. Accumulating the most wealth is one way to go about it. But, what happens when someone overtakes you in that race?

If there’s anything wisdom can teach you, it would be that nobody holds the first place forever.

Line 4:

You say you want to change BUT you don’t want to change; you want change to happen to you. You feel entitled, like the world revolves around you. No regard for balance or stability, just pure want. This kind of attitude is the first ingredient in the perfect recipe for disaster.

If making an effort to accomplish something isn’t your cup of tea, expressing your desire to change is quite meaningless and unnecessary.

Line 5:

Don’t fall into the trap of “all work and no play”. Modern society and its people are consistently on the chase to find a key that would help them unlock the door to a better future. Unfortunately, never-ending work is often the key they put their faith in.

While there is some truth to hard work yielding brighter results, working hard all the time might actually ruin your quality of life. Think about it, all work and no play precisely means you don’t really get to enjoy the taste of your own accomplishments. Learn to live a little and view life as more than just a conquering game.

Line 6:

Take in moderation; filling up your plate with all that is available on the table would be a mistake right now. Not only will there be more to deal with but also the trouble of leaving enough for others comes into play. Share what may be running scarce and leave enough so that all members of the alliance are satisfied.
