Hexagram 32 Symbol

Hexagram 32 is composed of 3 unbroken and 3 broken horizontal lines. This symbol is associated with endurance and resilience.
Hexagram 32 Endurance Resilience Transformation |
In many of my articles, I’ve talked about how life is meant to be lived, not endured. However, this philosophy certainly doesn’t apply to chapters of difficulty and disturbing experiences in life.
Hexagram 32 from the I Ching enlightens you on the skill of tolerance and why certain chapters in your life will require nothing but sheer endurance to get through. If you happen to be going through such a chapter right now, consider yourself very lucky to be stumbling upon Hexagram 32.
Guidance:
- Acquiring the skill of endurance can change how you perceive difficult periods in life. What you deeply feared once will only be a short course of challenges now.
- Strength in endurance mode is something beyond comprehension. You can face a lot more than you can imagine by putting yourself in that zone.
- Loss of emotional response is common when only trying to endure. Not feeling during a troublesome phase in your life means heartbreaks and disappointments won’t be able to shatter you.
Warnings:
- There’s a drastic change in outlook when going from living to enduring. You can miss out on a lot of beautiful moments in your life when your only intention is to survive through it.
- Sometimes, just endurance isn’t enough; action and planning might also be needed to get through a tough phase in your life.
- Because your heart toughens up in endurance mode, meaningful relationships can fall apart due to a lack of emotional involvement on your end.
Hexagram 32 Message
Aiming to enlighten those who may be facing some major difficulties and traumatizing experiences in life, Hexagram 32 gives the lost some direction and a more effective way to deal with things.
While living and experiencing every moment in all its glory is important, you’re better off just tolerating these episodes in your life and not taking them too seriously. In other words, you must change your approach from “living” to “enduring” and try to get through these times quietly and unharmed.
As this punishing chapter in your life passes, the next one should hopefully bring back the lost colors and push you towards living again.
Hexagram 32 Message For Love & Relationships
Leaving problems in your relationship hanging is like pulling up the cloth to let the snake get a better bite.
If you or your partner have a habit of not attending to issues in the relationship and expecting them to resolve on their own, it would be foolish to say the relationship will last in any meaningful way. Before moving on from any conflict, grudges, and hard feelings must be forgiven and forgotten if you wish to keep your relationship intact over the course of time.
Messages From The Lines Of Hexagram 32

Line 1:
It’s okay to neglect other aspects and areas of your life in troubling times. You’ll be working with limited time and resources so it’s in your best interest to use it in the right places to work out bigger problems.
If some relationships fall apart along the way, it means they probably weren’t built strong enough in the first place. Less demanding connections will certainly pass this test and last the longest.
Line 2:
Experience is king when it comes to endurance. Even bigger challenges will seem minor if you keep facing them from time to time. Wisdom is also a byproduct of challenging circumstances. Once you acquire enough of it, you can deal with things the right way rather than solely relying on time to be your savior.
Line 3:
Little to no progress and adaptation means you need to be doing less, not more. A common misconception people have is that less than satisfactory results mean one needs to reach higher. While this may be true for some cases, more often than not, trying to reach higher and higher every time is likely to just burn you out and even cause regression.
Plan intelligently and at least give previous adaptations a chance to set in.
Line 4:
The guilt of not trying lasts longer than the guilt of failure. A hungry hunter will accept a missed shot but not one that wasn’t fired. For him, even the slightest opportunity means the shot must be taken as otherwise, he’ll be going to sleep unfed.
If the situation isn’t bad enough and you’ve got plenty of supplies on hand, sure, wait around and save your arrows for the best and most “optimal” opportunity. But, if scarcity has slowly started overtaking then you most definitely shouldn’t be holding back.
Line 5:
This is not the time to go against orders and start calling shots on your own. Right now, the best thing you can do is be supportive of leaders and follow whatever they have planned. Ofcourse times will come when you’ll have to make hard choices and shoot your shots without hesitation but, if leadership seems to be doing its job well, there’s no reason to intervene and trigger chaos.
Line 6:
There’s a huge difference between actual meaningful endurance and trying to endure just to boost your ego. Many people are enslaved by the idea that deliberately rolling in the dirt will give them some kind of credibility over others because they’ve apparently “been through” much more.
When there are no struggles in your life and nothing to endure, you’re better off just living the best you can and accepting that you’re fortunate.
“Do not pray for an easier path, pray for the strength to endure a difficult one”.
To believe that life will only be a collection of blissful moments you can live through is naive. Many times, trouble and distractions will be sent your way; it’s better to just endure those episodes as “living” is neither possible nor an effective way to go about things in such circumstances.
In the face of difficulty, endurance is what will allow you to maintain your integrity and balance. Unfortunately, however, there’s no real way to build endurance other than to put yourself through the difficult episodes of life repeatedly. Just keep at it and try to tolerate whatever is thrown your way as best as you can.
