One doesn’t receive what he wishes for in life; rather, he receives what he truly strives for. When you’re intensely passionate about something and you chase after it like a moth chases a flame, the universe does everything in its power to help you gain your end.

Hexagram 34 from the I Ching is a reminder that sheer passion and drive still rule over smart work any day. If societal pressure or lack of sincerity in today’s world is making you feel like your efforts don’t mean anything, Hexagram 34 will knock some sense into you and enlighten you about using your undying ambition to your advantage.

Hexagram 34 Message

Passion and enthusiasm are not everything. However, they can be excellent tools to use on your journey towards greatness and accomplishing wonders in life.

If you already have a specific goal in mind, great; if you don’t, that’s fine too, as long as you know the direction you’re headed in. What matters most is that you have sheer passion and hunger to achieve what you’re after. Most of your passion will stem from your love for that dream, so make sure it truly means something to you. Objectives that have significance in your heart will keep you motivated throughout the thicks and thins of the journey.

Hexagram 34 Message For Love & Relationships

There’s nothing more frustrating than not having answers in a relationship. Partners expect quick responses and explanations from each other and the absence of those answers in times of uncertainty can really throw the relationship off track.

If faced with a situation where both you and your partner have no idea of how to deal with things, it’s better to look for comfort and emotional support in each other rather than answers. There’s no point in trying to pry out a remedy/solution that just isn’t there.

Messages From The Lines Of Hexagram 34

Hexagram 34 Symbol

Line 1:

Talent and skill in and of itself is not a reliable indicator of a bright future. When a child is born, adults have this belief that its ingrained gifts are enough to propel it towards greatness. While the child may be incredibly gifted, it still needs to acquire the knowledge of its gifts and learn to use them in practicality.

For those of you who are gifted in many unique ways but still in search of a meaningful purpose, there’s nothing wrong with being a fool and holding a wise person’s hand for guidance. With time, self-exploration, and experience, you’ll be able to see the purpose of your gifts more clearly than ever.

Line 2:

Don’t be the one to ignore opportunities just because they aren’t “perfect”. Not every opportunity will lead you to your objective directly; opening a door can sometimes lead you to another door.

Learn to see where incoming opportunities can take you a few years or even decades from now. What doesn’t seem so perfect today might lead you to your “perfect objective” a few years down the line.

Line 3:

In a team setting, your personal motives and objectives don’t matter. Before even being called a team, all parties and members usually shake hands on one common goal, so there’s that. Entering a union or forming a team to fulfill a personal agenda without being transparent about it with associates is unfair and disreputable.

Line 4:

In the chase for achieving your ultimate objective in life, there are many other smaller objectives you’ll need to attain first. Don’t only look at the bigger picture, it doesn’t take smaller details and troubles into account.

When somebody achieves big in life, people tend to judge that person based on what’s present in front of their eyes. What isn’t seen often goes unnoticed. There are multiple small wins that lead up to that one big opportunity or breakthrough that brings one’s existence into the light.

Line 5:

Your purpose is not just yours; a lot of people will come into your life to bring you closer to your purpose. Respect and acknowledge their wisdom and the efforts they make to help you gain your end.

“Self-made” is a very common term in today’s day and age. If you ponder over it, nobody’s ever truly self-made. Yes, the work and labor is done by the person himself/herself but there are always people behind the scenes who have a hand in propelling that person towards success.

Line 6:

When you cross paths with someone who’s chasing after the same objectives as you, you can either join hands with them and march together or try to outrun them and get to the finish line first. There are no wrong answers here. Depending on the situation and objective, you can deal with matters either way. Just make sure to not be too quick to judge or misunderstand intentions as it might cost you a potentially valuable partnership.
