In life, hardly any journey goes all smooth and easy. Even the shortest expeditions can hold tons of unexpected bumps and roadblocks. Making peace with these obstructions and accepting that they’ll inevitably show up everywhere you go is the key to a serene and productive living.

If you try your luck with the I Ching and are given Hexagram 39 upon six coin tosses, it unfortunately means that your journey won’t go as planned and some major obstructions will likely block your path. Nothing to worry about, however, as the Hexagram and its interpretations will provide sufficient guidance too.

Hexagram 39 Message

Setting out on a journey is a different experience for everyone. While some get fulfillment, productivity, and great yield from their wanderings in life, others may be faced with major hindrances and unexpected obstructions that may or may not require some serious effort to resolve.

It might seem unfair and, frankly, it is. But, life certainly isn’t fair to anyone. Routes and checkpoints on a journey will not always turn out to be what you expected. It’s best to make peace with the obstructions and maybe find a way to work around them.

Hexagram 39 Message For Love & Relationships

Toxicity can be a major obstacle in relationships; things can get suffocating and unhealthy real quick. No relationship is perfect, but there are some red flags you must not ignore. Create boundaries and learn to communicate discomfort. Constant criticism, manipulation, and trying to enforce control are some of the behaviors that will cost heavily in the long run if brushed aside right now.

Messages From The Lines Of Hexagram 39

Hexagram 39 Symbol

Line 1:

Though you may or may not understand this right now, but all obstacles undoubtedly serve a greater purpose. It’s like a problem that you try to resolve and its solution leads you to a new door, a door that could potentially open you up to opportunity and greatness.

It all starts with one obstacle.

Line 2:

In a group/union, everyone can have their own opinion and perspective on an obstacle. If you’re in a position of leadership/authority, instead of disregarding major opinion and unison, try to welcome it and let your people know that your team is a safe space where every voice will be heard. A common obstacle can be a great way to unite people and call a collective, more powerful strike.

Analyze and evaluate all plans proposed to overcome the obstacle in the way and put one into action.

Line 3:

There’s nothing wrong with giving up. While fools walk towards devastation mistaking it for dedication, the wise switch to a better route that seems right at the time. Just because you had a plan outlined in your head doesn’t mean you need to follow it all the way through. Variables can change throughout the course of the journey, so it’s always better to adapt to real-time changes than to maintain a delusive “never give up” attitude.

Line 4:

In a relationship, lack of communication and understanding is a serious obstacle and not some “phase” that people usually confuse it for. You can’t really “get over” missing elements of a relationship, especially those that are vital for its health and longevity.

If you’re serious about your current partner but have no idea how to tackle the faults and weak links in the relationship, start by really taking the problems into regard and recognizing them as real hindrances. If, however, the hindrances seem too big and stubborn to be subdued, it’s best to opt-out right away while the relationship isn’t in its best form.

Line 5:

Taking risks is a part of overcoming major obstacles in life. When faced with a choice, sacrifices need to be made no matter what. You’ll never know what lies ahead of you and removing one obstacle can possibly be a gateway to another. But, if something near and dear to you is at risk or you foresee a fruitful journey ahead then clearing the path isn’t a choice, it’s a necessity.

“When you pray for rain, be prepared to deal with the mud”.

Line 6:

When an obstacle in the way is too big and complex, baby steps and soft measures just won’t cut it. One eventually needs to make the hard calls and take bigger leaps in order to get it out of the way. If in a team setting, it’s best not to assign these duties to someone lenient and sensitive as only the devil can survive hell.
