When a fisherman sets out to fish for a living, on no account does he believe he can catch all the fish in the world; catching some is more than enough for him. However, blessings come everyone’s way. One fine day, he catches so many fish that he can’t believe his eyes – God was especially merciful to him.

Hexagram 55 from the I Ching enlightens you on the ability to handle circumstances where more of what you desire comes your way – a surplus of fortune and resources.

Hexagram 55 Message

Some people turn to God to receive their blessings while others receive their blessings and then turn to God. There’s no right or wrong path here, as long as the person acknowledges the giver and His almighty existence.

Unimaginable wealth and fortune is a blessing that surprises when it comes in excess. Resourceful people make use of it to uplift their fallen communities and be of help to those in need. In the hands of a wise man, surplus resources mean a better world. A fool, however, takes pride in filling up his own pockets and wasting resources for more materialistic gain.

Hexagram 55 Message For Love & Relationships

An excess in love can either be a blessing or a recipe for destruction. Doing too much for your partner might make them appreciate you more, thus deepening the bond. But, that’s very unlikely to be the only outcome.

More often than not, investing excessive time and attention into your relationship can make your partner feel suffocated, especially when they’re unable to reciprocate the efforts because of difficulties on their end.

Messages From The Lines Of Hexagram 55

Hexagram 55 Symbol

Line 1:

Relying on your grip strength to hold up something for a long period of time can result in failure. If your objective is greater, removing all limiting factors is a major requirement to continue climbing the graph. Now that you have a surplus of resources, however, it’s okay to “cheat” and use your tools to your advantage.

While a mountaineer can climb a smaller mountain with bare hands and no equipment, climbing a larger snowy mountain will at least call for a pair of ice axes and crampons.

Line 2:

Those who come to power suddenly often make big promises to people that they later don’t fulfill. This is a major mistake and perhaps the best way to lose respect in no time.

When blessed with a surplus of worldly fortune, taking action first and announcing later is the right way to go about things. This way, high hopes at least won’t be shattered in case your efforts as the man in power don’t bear fruit.

Line 3:

A change in attitude and ego after a period of exponential prosperity is never good. Unless you’re trying to ward off disapproving people who have nothing to add except negativity, pride can ruin both your growth and remaining relationships in the worst of ways. A good rule of thumb to keep in mind – only lower your head till your cap stays on; any more humility will give people the opportunity to take advantage of you.

Line 4:

When you reach the far end of a spectrum, don’t run with the assumption that help from the other end of the spectrum won’t make a difference. Even people who don’t seem to fit the criteria at face value can have great wisdom in store for you; all you have to do is drop your ego and reach out.

Wealth and power is pointless when you don’t know what to do with it. In times of confusion, even those who haven’t seen great fortune can enlighten you. Just be open to their wisdom and ideas.

Line 5:

When information is exchanged in many hands, it can be corrupted before it reaches you. In a group operation/project with multiple advisers and associates, always be the first bearer of news since major power is in your hands. Seek advice from people knowledgeable in specifics but only assign resources according to how you want things to pan out.

Line 6:

Some people only go where the wind blows. Having great affluence and credibility means a lot of people will put you on a pedestal. While this company of yes men might constantly make you feel on top of the world, it’s pointless in the sense that your mistakes won’t be pointed out to you, meaning you can’t really grow past where you stand right now. Real advisers who critique with the raw truth will be of great help.
