Hexagram 6 is one of the 64 unique Hexagrams mentioned in the ancient book of I Ching. Every Hexagram has its own unique meaning and Hexagram 6 is all about facing obstacles and bringing yourself closer to the light.

If you take a look at the Hexagram itself, you’ll notice that it’s the opposite of Hexagram 5 which had 3 unbroken lines at the bottom rather than the top. Though Hexagrams are meant to make things easier by identifying the course of universal forces, this one is notorious for being an omen of forthcoming difficulties.

Hexagram 6 Message

Life is going well and smooth right now. Objectives are being achieved and you’re fostering more personal and professional relationships than ever. The catch here is that this won’t last for long.

Challenges and difficult times are about to storm into your life hindering everything from your love affairs to future prospects. Those who care for you at the moment will turn on you and go from allies to enemies in a matter of no time. Mentally prepare yourself to deal with such complications.

Hexagram 6 Message In Love

A third person will enter your relationship and ruin things for a while. Misunderstandings will arise because of this leaving both you and your partner confused about who’s right and who’s wrong. Don’t entertain the third person; infidelity is a choice, not a mistake. Maintain integrity at all times and let misjudgments straighten out on their own.

Messages From The Lines Of Hexagram 6

Hexagram 6 Symbol

Line 1:

Don’t make a mountain out of a mole. Small conflicts and altercations must be kept small. Some matters just aren’t big enough to start real fights over.

If somebody tells you something, make sure you pass it on word for word. Over-exaggerations will lead to misunderstandings and bigger problems. You don’t want any more of them in your life right now.

Line 2:

It’s not the time to blame those who stand against you. If it was one person criticizing, confusion would be valid. But, multiple allies happen to be holding you responsible for a major blunder. It means the fault lies in you.

Accepting this failure or offence won’t be the end of the world. The ego can always be repaired. If anything, consider this an opportunity to work on your weak links and come back stronger next time.

Line 3:

Don’t hold grudges in your heart for what happened in the past. The past must stay in the past. People can change for the better over time. Give them a chance at least.

If there’s still hate and abomination in you for someone who did you wrong a while back then it’s your empathy that you need to work on. Although it’s very hard to just forgive and forget, keep in mind that, at the end of the day, it’s humans that make mistakes. Don’t be too quick to judge someone for what they did in former times.

Line 4:

Don’t focus too much on getting ahead and succeeding; there are no chances of success in this situation. The battle is already over. Neither are you nor the other party a winner.

If your ego makes it hard for you to let go, fight it! But, don’t let it take control of the situation. Things will get worse. The ego will force you to seek closure by declaring an official winner. Acceptance of fate is key here. Some situations just don’t come to any conclusion; the one you’re in is one of them.

Line 5:

Argue but argue with intention. The conflict should have a destination or possible conclusion it has to come to. Picking arguments that just go on and on will waste a lot of your precious time and energy for no productive outcome.

The entire purpose of an argument is to inform the other party about your contradictory point of view and opinion. Once that’s done, start ascending towards an agreement whether it’s on your terms or theirs.

Line 6:

It’s time to begin thinking with a wider perspective. If you keep on taking away from people and ill treating them, they might bow down to your power for a while BUT eventually, a rebellion will rise up. Opposing parties cannot stay oppressed forever; destroyed egos long for revenge.

Therefore, it is important for you to take your time in devising a solution to the situation that benefits all parties whether allies or not. Don’t triumph over somebody else’s humiliation. Bitterness and antagonism will only result in more enemies.
